If you're like most nurses, you went to a nursing school that didn't prepare you for how often you'd be starting IVs in the real world. Most schools have maybe an hour or two during a single skills day, and if you're lucky you have the chance to trade one stick with a fellow student. Hardly enough time to learn just the basics, and I've heard of many schools that don't even give you a practice try at all!

And when you get into the hospital setting? They expect you to already be proficient, and there are very few facilities in the country that have any kind of IV training program. It really seems like nursing schools expect you to learn these things on the job, and hospitals expect you to have learned them in Nursing School. There's definitely an educational gap.

If you're a nursing student, new nurse, or just want more instruction around IV insertion, I’m here to help!

This video course includes everything you need to know about starting IVs, from the very basics like aseptic technique to placing lines in difficult patient populations such as Geriatric, Bariatric, and IV drug users.

We will cover standards of practice, all kinds of tips, tricks, and techniques specifically designed to help you achieve a much higher first-stick success rate!

Each lecture is accompanied by high quality images and HD video so you can see exactly what’s happening, and you’ll get an inside look at IV insertion using my unique, clear gelatin vein models!

You’ll also get dozens of full-length IV start videos, and extras to help you on your journey to becoming an IV expert.

The IV demonstrations cover a wide variety of ages from 20’s-80’s, both male and female, differing health status, light and dark skin colors, and a large array of veins from those juicy, easily visible ones we all love to small, superficial veins in the forearms and hands.

BONUS!

I started a private Facebook group for everyone who signs up for the course. This is where you can ask me questions and we can discuss everything IV-related! I try to check in at least once per day so I can personally help you with whatever problem you might be encountering. My goal is to help you become proficient with IVs, whatever that might take!

"I'm a Paramedic with some experience already and I took this course to step up my IV game. Absolutely worth it and will definitely use what I've learned in my clinical practice. The instructional videos are easy to follow and the course format is very intuitive."

- Joe, Paramedic, Houston TX

"I am a clinical faculty member at SDSU School of Nursing in San Diego. I have been teaching IV skills to nurses since the early 80's. When I reviewed your course I found it to be hands down the best IV course I have ever used. You are 100% spot on in your didactic as well as hands on information. This is a must for students and nurses who have not had any formal IV training.I recommend that this is the time to invest in this amazing course!"

- Jodi Katzman, RN, MSN, Clinical Faculty

"I just wanted to send a quick message about your IV course. I’ve been an RN for five years and recently started working in the ED. I realized pretty quick that my IV skills were not where they needed to be coming from a med/surg background. I went from starting maybe 1-2 IV’s a week to over ten a shift. I found your course super helpful and I haven’t missed an IV yet since finishing it. I feel so much more confident in emergency situations. Thank you for sharing your expertise!"

- Jen, medsurg/ER nurse
